DALILA Avram nasceu no norte da Sérvia, na cidade de Zrenjanin, mas foi em Torak que passou a viver permanentemente, com exeção do período em que foi estudar economia para Subotica. Desenha e pinta desde a infância por influência do pai. São ambos amadores. Cada linha e sombra dos seus desenhos e pinturas refletem o lugar que a rodeia. É impossível resistir-lhe, garante. Quando pensa no Porto a primeira ideia que lhe vem à cabeça é sobre o vinho do Porto e o oceano Atlântico. Uma cidade a visitar para se tornar ainda mais rica em arte e cultura.

1 – Date and place of birth (city and country)?

04.11.1985 in Zrenjanin, Serbia. Zrenjanin is a city in Banat, a region in northern Serbia, I permanently live in Torak, a village near Zrenjanin.

2 – Up to the present day in which cities you lived permanently?

In the present i live in Torak, in northern Serbia, since I was born, I also lived in Subotica a city in northern Serbia to, I lived in Subotica for 5 years, I studied Economy in Subotica.

3 – Academic qualifications?

I graduated economics at University of Novi Sad in 2009, Faculty of Economy in Subotica in Serbia, faculty department of marketing management. I went to high school of economy in Zrenjanin.

I have worked at tax administration as probationer, and in an Agriculture Cooperative as accountant. In the present I’m unemployed.

4 – Professional activity?

I ‘am an amateur artist, I do drawings and paintings since my childhood. Influenced by my dad who is an amateur painter too.

My work consist mostly in drawing portraits in pencil, charcoal and soft pastels, also the themes of my artwork are still life, nature landscapes, ballerinas, venetian masks and drawings of traditional native dresses of the region where I live. The techniques that I’m using are very different like soft pastels, oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, pencil, charcoal, also I use coffee and tea to make aquarelle paintings and mixed media technique.

5 – The place where you born and live influenced your artistic life? If so, why?

It’s impossible that the place where you live does not influence you, the inspiration is right near you, you should just look at it.

I have sent you a postcard of my street, so that is how it looks a street in my village Torak, in the present those houses are very old since the 1800 is and very typical for a region where I live. So the influence is in every line and shadow on my drawings and paintings. I also make drawings of native dresses since 1900 is that in the past where used like everyday clothes, in the present those dresses are used on folkloric festivities, and performances of traditional dances and songs.

6 – When you think in Oporto (Portugal) remember immediately what?

When I think in Oporto the first thinks that comes on my mind are wine and Atlantic ocean.

7 – Have you ever visited Oporto? If so, why and what do you think of the city?

I have never visited Oporto for financial inability, I think that Oporto and every place in the world has it’s special places and history that makes that place unique. And if is possible every person should aspire to visit many country’s and cities because that makes you more rich in art and culture.
