§

11. Every year before the holidays, Atelier Circulaire presents Prêt-à-emporter, a fundraising exhibition in the gallery. For the past two years, this event has also included a venue for artists to show their work at individual stands. Due to the pandemic, instead of presenting Prêt-à-emporter, this year Atelier Circulaire will display members’ prints in the gallery and people can visit by appointment.

§

10. Today we are going to dive right in and make a spread, that is to say, a pair of pages that face and complement each other. We will also write. Plus we will learn an uncomplicated printmaking technique. In other words we are going to have fun!

§

9. As an Akua Demo Artist, each demonstration is an opportunity to connect with artists in a new setting.  This time, olá, hello Portugal.

§

8. My solo exhibition Impressions de soi, on view at the Centre culturel Notre-Dame-de-Grâce in Montreal until January 22, 2017,  proposes an intimate reflection on the theme of identity. The show presents two installations, two series of prints and a didactic showcase.

7. Cada vez que hacemos una obra de arte, estamos poniendo de una manera o de otra un poco de nuestra identidad en esa obra

§

6. In April 2016, I had the immense pleasure of giving an Akua demonstration and workshop at Studio Sorge, in Dunham, in the Eastern Townships, in southeastern Quebec.

§

5.
Cool April temperatures in Montreal have inspired me to write about exciting times in hotter climes.

§

4. On February 23, 2016, on a brisk Tuesday night, I gave an Akua Inks demonstration at La Fabrique, in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

§

3. Linocut and woodcut were my entry techniques into the fascinating world of printmaking.  Teaching my one-day linocut workshop in January at Studio Talleen was pure pleasure.

§

2. As an art educator, specialized in printmaking, I put a lot of creative energy into designing workshops.

§

1. From November 6th to 8th, 35 artists from four Quebec printmaking studios traveled to New York City for Print Week. Odette Pinard from Atelier de l’Île and myself, from Atelier Circulaire organized the trip.
