MICHEL Della Vedova nasceu em Brive la Gaillarde, vivendo desde 1983 em Limoges, França. É artista plástico e fotógrafo. Considera que o conteúdo do seu trabalho não é influenciado pela área onde vive ou viveu. Acha que poderia fazer o mesmo noutro lugar. Reconhece, contudo, que a proximidade aos centros da vida artística (por exemplo Paris) ou vivendo em cidades com políticas culturais ativas pode contribuir para uma melhor divulgação dos artistas. Liga o Porto à ponte Luís I e à bondade do povo português. Ainda não conhece a cidade, o que espera acontecer já no próximo mês.

Artist, mainly painter but also mail artist, photographer, …

5 – The place where you born and live influenced your artistic life? If so, why?

Yes I think so. First for geographic reason because it is far from Paris, the central point for the artistic life and secondly it is depending on the artistic policy of the cities where I lived and where I am living now and on the people meetings.

But the content of my artistic work is not influenced by the area where I am living. I think that I could make the same work in another place.

6 – When you think in Oporto (Portugal) remember immediately what?

The image of the ponte Luis I and the kindness of the portuguese people.

7 – Have you ever visited Oporto? If so, why and what do you think of the city?

No, but next may I am coming to Porto in order to spend one holidays week and visit the city ¡
